The Polish Army Medal Event

The Polish Army Medal Event

You are cordially invited to a special presentation: The Polish Ministry of National Defense presents the Polish Army Medal to Michael G. Reagan and Robert E. Michalak

The Polish Ministry of Defense will present the Polish Army Medals to Messrs. Robert Michalak and Michael Reagan in recognition for their Fallen Heroes Project honoring the memory of sixty-six Polish Army soldiers who died fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of the NATO forces.

The Polish Army Medals are awarded to foreign military officers to recognize service to the Polish Army forces and to civilians who contribute to promoting history and traditions of the Polish Army outside of Poland.

The ‪Fallen ‪‎Heroes Project to honor ‪sixty-six Polish soldiers who died serving with the Polish Army as the allies in Iraq and Afghanistan was spearheaded in ‪Seattle by Bob Michalak and supported by the Polish community. Local artist Michael ‪‎Reagan painted sixty-six individual portraits that were framed and sent to Poland. On December 21, 2015, Mr. Michalak opened a memorial exhibition for the Polish fallen heroes at the Center for Foreign Mission Veterans in Warsaw in the presence of the soldiers’ families who received the portraits.

Kudos to Mr. Michalak and thank you for your big heart!
