Rules of the art contest “What hisses and chirps in the grass”

Polish version of the Rules of the art contest “What hisses and chirps in the
grass” here.

§ 1
Organizer

The competition is organized by the 18th Avenue Theater at the Polish Home Association in Seattle at 1714 18th, Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122.
§ 2
Contest assumptions
The goal of the contest is:
● Kid art exhibition of selected artworks that illustrate insects.
● Stimulating the imagination and developing children’s artistic abilities
Competition schedule:
● Deadline for the submission of works and applications: May 31, 2022;
● The competition results will be announced by June 15, 2022;
● Notification of competition winners: by June 22, 2022;
● The exhibition of works and the awarding of awards and distinctions will take place after the
the performance entitled “The Adventures of the Flea of a Chess Game”; is planned for the end of
June 2022.

§ 3
Participants

1. The competition is intended for children and adolescents ages 2 to 18 years old.
2. Competition entries must be your own work and must relate to the subject of the competition.
3. The artwork can be made with any technique.
4. Participation in the competition is free and voluntary.
§ 4
Conditions for participation in the art contest

1. You must send a photo of the artwork by May 31, 2022, to the e-mail address:
teatr@polishhome.org with information about the author: first and last name, age, phone number, e-mail address.
2. Register for the art contest.3. You must deliver the original artwork in person or to the address of the Polish Home Association with the annotation “Art contest”
By participating in the competition, you accept the rules of the contest.
By delivering your artwork, you consent to:
● participation in the competition;
● Publication of your artwork on the Internet, in the form of an exhibition;
● publication in the local press;
§ 5
Competition results and awards

1. The winners of the competition and the awarded works are selected by the Jury appointed by
the 18th Ave Theater.
2. The works will be assessed according to the following criteria:
○ compliance with the theme of the competition;
○ Ingenuity and originality of the approach to the subject;
○ aesthetics of performance;
3. The decisions of the Jury are final and may not be appealed against.
4. The works of the winners and the works awarded in the competition will be displayed in
appropriate age categories and their authors will receive prizes.
The results of the competition will be announced on the website https://www.polishhome.org/ and the
social media of the Polish Home Association in Seattle, and the winners will be notified of the prize.
§ 6
Copyright

Joining the competition means that the authors of the competition works will transfer all copyrights to
the artistic work to the Organizer free of charge.
§ 7
Final Provisions

1. The organizer reserves the right to change the provisions of these regulations.
2. In all disputes, the decisive vote belongs to the Organizer.
3. By entering the competition, the Participant declares that he agrees to use his work for the
purposes of the competition and declares that the submitted works are his sole property and
do not infringe the rights of third parties
4. The organizer reserves the right not to return unused competition entries.
5. The organizer does not cover the costs of preparing and delivering the artwork
