Almost There With the Grand Piano!

The grand piano in the picture should be coming to the Polish Hall in the nearby future!

The Seattle Polish Foundation decided to enter into a purchase agreement with a private seller to secure a 2008 concert-class Steinway grand piano in excellent condition for the Polish Cultural Center Dom Polski. The grand piano campaign raised about $54,000 as of this writing, and the purchase price is $60,000. Hence, with the transport and other costs, we are about $7,500 short of the goal, but we are almost there! The SPF will have till the end of January 2023 to conclude the purchase. Please help us get it!

The piano is the Steinway & Sons Model B, which is the best grand piano model for medium-size concert halls such as the upper hall at the Polish Cultural Center. The Model B is widely used in musical academies such as the Juilliard School and is praised by professional pianists. This particular piano has been tested and has a beautiful sound and is in excellent shape. It has also been signed by Lang Lang.

Please listen to Marzena testing this instrument (this video clip was shot with a phone).

Thank you for your incredible support for this fundraiser in memory of Barbara Strutynski! If you have not donated yet, now would be the time to donate and help to get the fundraiser to the finish line!
